We are pleased to have found a new home for Maverick in Germany, we are currently weaning Maverick off his mother and will be sending him shortly to start his new life in Germany. To follow his progress follow this Link
Dray Ride locations...
The Dray Rides are a big favorite with all the family, many families returning week after week for further rides.
Amerton Farm & Craft Centre
Sedgemoor Shires in partnership with Amerton Farm & Craft Centre, Stowe by Chartley, Stafford ST18 0LA are doing Traditional Dray Rides with our Shire Horses.

Charlecote Park
Sedgemoor Shires in partnership with Charlecote Park, Warwick, Warwickshire CV35 9ER are doing Traditional Dray Rides with our Shire Horses. Charlecote Park is a Superb Tudor house and landscape deer park owned by The National Trust.

New Foals
Sedgemoor Barneys Army, Shire Colt
This stunning colt foal was born on 09th May 2009 and is out of Goose Green John Wesley, Who needs no introduction recently supplying customers in New Zealand with his semen. This clearly shows the mark of this stallion. Barney is a fantastic very sweet natured colt with four white’s socks and a beautiful blaze. He will make a fantastic stallion pending inspection.

Sedgemoor Wallie, Shire Colt
This gorgeous little fella was born in June 09 and was out of an extremely well breed mare namely Arclid Adelaide who was only shown once as a foal and won Cheshire show in doing so. He is a very sweet little foal and will make an excellent driving or riding gelding.

Sedgemoor Minshull Maverick, Shire Colt
From the minute this big lad was born he has had stallion written all over him. He is very cocky and is a very big lad. Born in May he has already won the hearts of all at Sedgemoor running around and acting like his father the stunning John Wesley. This is without a doubt a colt to keep your eye on for the future. He is just something very special.

Shows
Whilst we are currently concentrating on other parts of our business at the moment we are not finding the time to do as many shows as we would like to, but we hope to show more in the coming Years as things settle down.
Drayhorse Fallen Oak
What more is there to say about this young Stallion recently awarded a Premium status at Peterborough in 2009. He has got nothing left to prove. Oakley has the cleanest hind leg ever and has a real mark of quality about him. He has proven his stock getting ability over and over, producing some real quality foals including the stunning Arclid Serenade. He is without doubt amongst the best Stallions in the Country and that’s where he intends to stay. Please call for covering fees.
Arclid Odin
This gelding has won it all, for those who know Shires, will know this prolific show Winner. Odin is National Gelding Champion and has won many other shows. Often getting Champion of shows on every outing. He is extremely well bred and we are all very happy to have the honour of welcoming Odin and his brother into our stud. We would like to thank Sandra and Tony Bull for breeding these horses which reflect the quality of the name Arclid.
Arclid Legend
Legend just like his brother Odin is no stranger to success. In 2008 he was National Junior Gelding Champion and in 2009 he was reserve Champion. Everything about Legend is reflected in his brother Odin. They are without doubt the best pair of Geldings in the Country. We are extremely pleased to have them with us.
Burlington Park Heidi
Sedgemoor had a Tremendous show season 2008 with the sucess of their yearling filly Burlington park Heidi. Having already won a string of first places as a foal she continued to impress as a yearling.
Her first year at Peterborough national shire horse show produced a well placed 5th out of a strong class of 15. She continued to do well with the following results under her belt.

- Warwickshire Royal Show 2008 1st place
Goose Green John Wesley
Goose Green John Wesley is a premium stallion and won the best grey horse at the national shire horse show at Peterborough in 2006. He is a proven stock getter and has a good record for throwing quality grey foals from the mares he covers. Please contact us to enquire for covering fees and terms.
