Terms and Conditions

In view of the importance of the occasion we have to make our Terms and Conditions clear to avoid any misunderstandings.

Terms & Conditions

Sedgemoor is owned and operated by GT and RM LEESE trading as Sedgemoor shires, hereinafter known as "The Operator".

The price will be agreed and notified in writing or E mail which should be kept safe by you the customer after all details have been provided to The Operator.

Bookings will only be confirmed on payment of a non refundable deposit. The Operator will provide a receipt. The balance to be paid no later than 4 weeks before the wedding date. No refunds are payable. This is to protect us as well as you the customer.

Given that we are working with horses and the possibility of sickness or injury, The Operator reserves the right to cancel a booking at any time, should it prove necessary. The welfare of our horses is our first consideration. At Sedgemoor the horses are our life and we owe a lot to them. I am sure that you the customer can appreciate this.

If we are unable to supply a pair of horses we will do everything within our power to try and accommodate you in other ways for example a single horse. This will however depend on the type of booking and whether it is feasible for a single horse to comply with your request in regards to the horse safety. In the exceptional circumstance that The Operator cannot supply a horse and carriage, a full refund will be given.

If the client cancels the booking once the final payment has been paid, we will make every effort to re-arrange the booking (subject to availability). This new booking would be subject to a £250 preparation fee to reflect work already carried out.

We will make every effort to collect the passengers on time, we cannot accept any liability if the passengers are delayed at the agreed collection location due to circumstances outside our control. We will of course be available via mobile phone this again subject to reception etc and it is down to you the client to keep the operator informed of delays.

The collection location, destination and route are to be agreed at the time of booking. There can be no alteration without a minimum of 21 days prior notification. There are exceptional circumstances but this will be subject to further costs at a minimum of £100.

Although we do have children travel with us, we ask all children less than ten years old are to be accompanied by an adult.

The carriages are turned out to the best of our staff’s capabilities we ask that you the client treat the carriage with the same respect as any damages as a result of the clients negligence will be at the cost to the client. To cover this we will ask you to provide £100 as a refundable deposit.

There is a strict No Smoking Policy whilst on the vehicle, near our staff or the horses.
